Educational Qualification(As on 31-12-2026)
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should insure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31-12-2026. Candidates are in final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally subject to producing proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31-12-2026.
matriculate Ex-Servicemen, who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air after having completed not less than 15 years of service in Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible for the post. Candidates who submit Class 10 or Class 12 marksheets/certificates certifying that they have studied the specified local language will be exempted from this examination. Minimum qualifying marks will apply, but a 5% relaxation will be granted to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Black/Multi-ethnic categories.
SBI Trainee Apprentices (appointed on or after 01.01.2022 and who have successfully completed one year of branch experience at SBI with satisfactory conduct and performance on or before 31.08.2026) are awarded a bonus of 2.5% of the maximum marks of the Main Examination (5 marks out of 200), which is added to their total score.
The merit list will be prepared based on state and category. This list will cover 50% of the total vacancies and remain valid for one year from the date the final result is declared. Candidates will be selected from this list every quarter (every three months) to fill vacancies that have arisen due to non-appointment or resignation.

The pay scale for Junior Associates(Customer Support & sales) is ₹24,050-1340/3-28,070-1650/4-41,020-2340/7-57,400-4400/1-61,800-2680/1-64,480. the Starting Basic pay is ₹26,730 (₹24,050) plus two advance increments admission to graduates.
In a major city like Mumbai, the starting gross salary (including allowances) for a clerk-cadre employee will be approximately ₹46,000 per month. This includes Dearness Allowance (DA) at current rates and other allowances; additionally, newly recruited graduate Junior Associates will receive two extra increments. Allowances may vary depending on the place of posting. They will be entitled to various facilities, Provident Fund, pension under the New Pension Scheme (defined contribution benefit), medical facilities, Leave Fare Concession, and other benefits in accordance with the guidelines issued by the bank from time to time.
SBI Junior Associate Probation Period
At least 6 months; to be confirmed in the job, newly appointed Junior Associates must complete the e-lessons prescribed during the probation period. If performance does not meet the bank’s expectations, the probation period may be extended.
